Exhibition of traditional shooting skills commences at 10:00am.
Limited to traditional rifles: Autoloaders, bolt action, lever action, break action, pump action, rolling/falling block, Cap lock or in-line muzzleloaders allowed. 24 caliber or larger. Open or peep sights only. No optics. Only one loaded round per shot;
along with one traditional pistol: limited to black powder or cowboy single action, iron sights only. No fiber optics and 30 caliber and above.
Ear and eye protection, and chamber flags are mandatory. Firearms and ammunition must be in good working condition and will be inspected by range officer personnel prior to use.
Match 1: Best of 5 shots in rotation. Highest score at 50 yards using a rifle while standing (unsupported).
Best shot: wins $35 Walmart gift card
Match 2: Best of 3 shots in rotation. Highest score at 25 yards using a single action/ dual action revolver (unsupported).
Best shot: wins $15 Hernando Sportsman’s club gift certificate, and 1 trap/skeet ticket.
Match 3: Best shot in rotation at 25 yards using shotgun with 20-gauge shotgun (provided by Club).
Best shot: wins $10 Applebee’s gift certificate.
